BOR Sesame Products

Sesame is predominant in the geography in which Blessed Organic Release (BOR) operates, in Northern Uganda. It is a major food crop. And it is also a high value commercial crop.

BOR sesame products are highly marketable and sought after in the Ugandan market, in particular, and within the East Africa region, as a whole.

For large scale commercial cropping, BOR trained thousands of its associate smallholder farmers and Shea nut collectors on farming methods that maintain organic integrity of the sesame, as is the standard for the BOR main consumer, Europe.

Sesame for Beauty

BOR 6,000 strong smallholder farmers and Shea nut collectors are organized in groups of 25-30 farmers with each baring a code number that is trackable in order to assure organic integrity and quality standards.

Sesame seed is collected and brought to the BOR central processing facility that meets international standards and best practice in sesame processing and packaging. It is located in Pader Town Council in Pader District in Northern Uganda.
