Lalida is among the brands of our Blessed Organic Release Shea products,. We derive them from Shea Trees, scientific name “Vitellaria Nilotica,” naturally growing in the dry lands and semi-arid landscapes of Uganda’s Shea Belt, within the Acholi sub-region. Read more about our products here.
Uganda’s Shea belt, however, covers over twenty districts within over nine cultural regions as follows:

- West Nile (where in Lugbara is is named Awa; in Madi it is named Awa Pati or Awa Kwe; and in Alur it is named Yen Yao, Awa, or Dunyu) it grows in Adjumani, Arua, Koboko, Maracha, Terego, Moyo, and Nebbi.
- Acholi (where the Shea Tree is named Yaa or Yao), it grows in Amuru, Gulu, Kitgum and Pader.
- Lango (where the Shea Tree is named Yao), it grows in Amolator, Apac, Dokolo, Lira, Oyam and Otuke.
- Teso (where the Shea Tree is named Ekungur), it grows in Amuria, Bukedea, Kaberamaido, Katakwi, Kumi and Soroti.
- Karamoja, it grows in Abim, Kaabong and Kotido,
- Bukedi, it grows in Budaka and Pallisa.
- Bunyoro, it grows in Bulisa and Masindi.
- Buganda, it grows in Nakasongola.
